So begins the life of Chloe Marie on Nov 23, 2009 at 7:25. Our beautiful "little" girl weighed 9lbs 2 oz and was 19.5" long. Seeing her for the first time in the operating room brought both her mom and me to tears. Its amazing to finally see her and hold her. Soon after she was born her grandparents Grammy and Pops (Debbie and Tom) and Nonnie and Papa (Lorin and Dad) were able to get a glimpse before she was whisked to the nursery for check ups. Moments later Auntie Lois came to see her new niece as well.
The time in the hospital waiting for our girl to get out of the nursery and to the room was agonizing. 4 hours passed and we finally got to love on her. We couldnt have asked for a more perfect little girl. Charissa did well after the surgery and after a couple days in the hospital we were home with family for Turkey day with our little butterball. So much to be thankful for always, but this year in particular with the addition to the family. Uncle Mason and Auntie Heidi showed up and were immediately in tears, and a couple of days later her Grandma Suga (Mom)came in town to bond with her. All the support from family and friends has been great. We really appreciate it and love you all.
The last couple of days we have been on our own and its been nice to spend some quiet time with the baby. Most of her time is spent eating and sleeping, and of course she likes to sleep more during the day than at night. Due to this, the first post will be kept short and sweet so Dad can get some rest. Enjoy the video with all the pictures below (You may want to carve out a good few hours to watch this....just kidding).
God has truly blessed us with an angel to start our family and we couldnt be happier!
