Look out world, Chloe is crawling! She made her first few moves this week at home with Mommy looking on. She is especially interested in the remote and cell phones so we are using them as "bait" right now to get her to crawl. It is pretty funny when she gets to her desired destination because she busts out this wheezy little giggle.
I'm sure all parents feel this way, but we just couldn't be prouder of her. She has changed so much this summer and it will be very hard to part with that smiling face in a few weeks when I head back to school.
It is hard to get Chloe on camera since every time she sees one, she stops whatever it is that she is doing to stare at it. I did manage to get this short video of her crawling. :)

6 month birthday
Time sure has flown being parents. We cherish every moment that we spend with Chloe. We are especially grateful of the time we all spent with family back in January with the passing of her great Granny in the last couple of weeks. It certainly is not easy to see her go with God but we all know it is for the best due to the condition she was in.
Chloe. is growing and learning so much more about her surroundings.
Her newest favorite toys are this high tech dog that sings and plays music. It can even be programmed to sing her name and things that she likes. Thanks to Aunt Tracy and Uncle Dave for this one. Its a sure bet to calm her down the few times she is fussy. Charissa has the songs memorized much to the annoyance of me....they get stuck in your head too easy!!!
As she has grown she has become much more active. When staying with Aunt Lois she rolls over and gets alot of tummy time. Mommy and Daddy are still having a hard time getting her to do it, but it is obvious that she is getting much more control of her body. We recently started putting her in her exer-saucer and man does she get after it. I have a feeling that thing is gonna get some work to the point of not using it anymore. One of her other favorites is her swing outside...something about the wind in her face really gets her excited.
Well i am rambling. I have posted a couple of pics from May to round out catching up on the life of our lil one.
Check out Miss Hollywood straight in from California for her first time in and around the pool this past weekend. What a diva!!!

First Roadtrip
Chloe made her first official road trip last weekend to Austin and San Antonio. She got to visit with almost everyone in her Daddy's family. First we traveled to Papa and Nonnie's house in Austin. The whole Buchhorn family made it over the next day. Chloe met all her great aunts and uncles and cousins. The day was especially nice because we were celebrating Chloe's two month birthday and her great-granny's 89th birthday. What a wonderful celebration!
Later we drove over to Chloe's great-grandma Simpson's house to visit with Great Aunt Cathy and Great Uncle Tim. We sure missed Great Uncle Billy, Aunt Ann, and cousin Sarah. We'll have to save the road trip to Miami for when Chloe is a little older.
We wrapped up the road trip at Grandma Sugar's house in San Antonio. We had a nice evening with Sugar and Aunt Heidi.
Chloe was an angel all weekend. She rode really well in the car despite the fact that she was packed in like a sardine with all her gear in the back seat. :)
It was wonderful to share our little one with all her extended family. Here are a few shots.

First Family Christmas
Well it felt alot different (in a great way) this year waking up and sharing Christmas with our little girl. On Christmas Eve Grandma Sugar, Chloe, Charissa and I all bundled up and ventured out for Christmas service in the cold and windy weather. Chloe was awake the entire service but acted like an angel the whole time. Christmas night was nice snuggling up to the fire and just hanging out. On Christmas morning we had a great time at the house opening gifts and celebrating the birth of our Savior. Chloe and her parents want to thank everyone for the sweet and thoughtful gifts she was blessed with.
Next we headed over to Grammy and Pap's house to spend time with the rest of the family. Chloe and her cousin Madison got to spend some fun time bonding on Christmas, it sure was cute. We had a great meal and time over there with the family. Chloe is anxious to hit the road here in a couple weeks to see her other grandparents, great grandparents, and great uncles and aunts.
Christmas weekend was wrapped up with a visit from her Uncle Warren and Aunt Sandy. They were so sweet to make the trip in to Houston just for a day to bring her a couple of gifts and spend some quality time with her as we cooked dinner and watched the Cowboys game. The entire Christmas holidays sure were great.
As Chloe continues to get older she is getting more animated. More expressions, talking, and bigger smiles are making our days filled with joy. Our little girl is the sunshine on a cloudy day and the light of our nights.
